CJS Sales is a 5,000 sq ft wholesale liquidator in New York's garment center specializing in vintage deadstock jewelry and bead-making supplies. Founded in 2002 by Carl Schimel and daughter Elyse, the warehouse is stacked floor-to-ceiling with closeout inventory from defunct companies—including rhinestones, Swarovski crystals, cameos, seed beads, Venetian beads, and finished vintage costume jewelry from the 1960s-1990s. Designers and crafters dig through boxes of components to find inspiration and materials. Featured in the New York Times, Nylon, and Accessories Magazine.
